Lima Beans are sometimes called butter beans because of their buttery texture. Lima Beans grow in pods, the pods are usually flat, oblong, and slightly curved. Lima Beans are usually cream or green, but some varieties include white, red, purple, brown, and black. These beans are also high in fiber, just like almost every other bean, they lower your heart attack risk, they give you energy while stabilizing blood sugar, give you iron for energy, and has lots of protein. The origin of Lima Beans are debated; some think that they are from Guatemala, some think that they are from Peru, some think that they are from the United States, and others think that they are European.
